The Petit Manseng variety originally comes from the South of France. It also thrives in Alto Adige under certain soil and climate conditions. The ripe berries are harvested very late towards the end of November. The Petit Manseng forms remarkably much sugar, but always retains a lively acidity. This is why it is best suited to very good sweet wines, which are extremely aromatic. The area stretches from exotic fruits such as mango, pineapple and maracuja and is supplemented by fine honey and botrytis. It is an ideal accompaniment to fine desserts, sweet pastries and fresh cheese.
