Vineyards: The grapes for this wine were sourced from vineyards planted at the Freisinger estate at the Show romanizationat the sousouthern end of Tramin, at an altitude of approximately 315 meters. Situated on a gentle slope of calcareous clay and pebbles, this estate boasts some of the best growing conditions for Schiava in Alto Adige.
Winemaking: The grapes were de-stemmed and fermented in steel tanks. After malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, the wine was aged in oak casks prior to bottling.
Tasting Notes: Freisinger, our top Schiava, finds its individuality in the gentle tannic structure and light color of the wine; the flavors are bright with a lasting impression of fresh fruit.
Food Pairing: We recommend serving this wine with antipasti and typical Tyrolean dishes like speck and smoked meats, as well as white meats and cheeses.
Serving Temperature: 14-16° C Aging: 4-8 years
