Terroir Lago di Caldaro - Arzenhof, porphyr and quartz soil with chalk and loam to south-eastside
Maturation Fermentation in wood barrels for 3 weeks, maturation in barrique, of those are 70% new ones and for another 16 months in small oak barrels
Description As colour it is strong ruby red. In the nose dominate flower notes with lightly wood, profumed with berries, blackberry, chocolate and tobaco. It is a concentrate wine at the taste, intensive and round on the palate with present tannins.
Food pairing It's a good match with red meat, game and matured spicy cheese
