Philipp Kuhn

As a 20-year-old PHILIPP KUHN was solely responsible for the wine making and for the vineyards in his parents' estate. With the 1992 he delivered his first vintage. As a relatively young winemaker, he can therefore call himself an old hand in the industry after already mastering 27 vintages, who made his contribution to the success of “Germany's small wine miracle”. The basis of success is, in addition to the right gut feeling and sensitivity for vineyards and viticulture, above all the considerable portfolio of highly decorated individual sites. They are the foundation that gives the distinctive Philipp Kuhn wines their profile and character. It is the primeval, rugged limestone that gives the Northern Palatinate its defining image. Well-known locations such as the Laumersheimer "Kirschgarten" and the "Steinbuckel", the Burgweg in Grosskarlbach, the Kallstadt locations "Saumagen" and Steinacker as well as the rare "Schwarzen Herrgott" from the nearby Zellertal. These locations and the name Philipp Kuhn stand for high quality dry Rieslings as well as red and white Burgundy!
