Grape Variety: Schiava, small amount of Lagrein
Vineyards: The grapes come from the "Hill of Witches" ("Hexenbichler" in German), a subzone on the south side of Tramin, where Schiava is the dominant variety, along with a small amount of Lagrein. The soils are composed of calcareous clay and pebbles.
Subzone: Ronchi/Tramin
Winemaking: The grapes were de-stemmed and fermented in steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Tasting Notes: The Hexenbichler is lightly tannic in terms of structure with a bright color and fresh fruit flavors.
Food Pairing: We recommend pairing this wine with appetizers and regional Tyrolean specialties, bacon and ham, in addition to white meats and mild cheeses.
Aging: 3-5 years
Serving Temperature: 12-14°.
